IKEA is working with UNICEF and Save the Children to help send children to school when you buy soft toys from IKEA.
When you bring your kids to IKEA I’m pretty sure they’re having so much of fun playing around the kids area. If you’re at the toys area don’t forget to get some soft toys for your kids as you will be doing something good for other kids around the world.
IKEA calls it ‘Soft Toys for Education’. This campaign is a partnership between IKEA Foundation, UNICEF and Save the Children, and the idea is simple: for every soft toy or children’s book sold (9 November 2014 – 3 January 2015), IKEA Foundation donates €1* to children’s education projects so more children can get the education they deserve. [*€1 = RM4.25].
At IKEA, we believe all children deserve a quality education – because we know nothing has a more direct impact on well being, from better health to increased wealth, than education. Education represents an opportunity, and it empowers children with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to shape a better future for themselves.

If you happen to be in IKEA at IPC Mutiara Damansara, you can also donate the soft toy by placing it at the check-out counter. The donated toys from the box will go to our under priviledged children centre in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. IKEA Malaysia will match your donation with another toy.
Here are some of photos of the soft toys available for purchase which I took several days ago:
It’s a season to give, and now it’s great time to do so.
